Taking Care of You
Some of us have made the transition to work from home and are working with children on our laps. Some of us are working from home alone, dealing with feelings of isolation and disconnection from friends, family, and coworkers. Some of us are working tirelessly away from home – in hospitals and healthcare clinics to heal us, or in food and manufacturing facilities to keep families fed and products on the shelf, or in other essential services to keep the country safe and running – all while juggling the care of ourselves and our families. Some of us may be stressed as jobs unexpectedly end, or we may be overwhelmed by grief for a sick or lost loved one. We may have teens and adolescents at home who are also struggling to adapt to these changes, while we help to guide them through this time as well.
As we all journey through this time #alonetogether, the Nature Nate’s People Team reminded us that our mental health is an often overlooked but vitally important aspect of our overall well-being. It is important to honor this and not underestimate the toll that the current situation can have on us personally and its impact on our life, family and work. Our People Team also shared tips and resources for taking care of yourself and your family during this unique time, and we hope in sharing them beyond the Nature Nate’s Farm that we can help others as well.
