The number-one branded honey company leverages Honey Gives Hope program to empower women survivors

MCKINNEY, TEXAS – May 1, 2021 – In celebration of Mother’s Day, Nature Nate’s Honey Co., the number-one branded honey company in the U.S. and producer of 100% Pure, Raw & Unfiltered Honey, announces today a donation to Thistle Farms, a nonprofit social enterprise whose mission is to light the way to housing, healing and economic freedom for women survivors of trafficking, prostitution, and addiction.

Thistle Farms supports its mission to help women survivors recover by providing a safe place to live, a meaningful job, and a lifelong sisterhood of support. Through its residential program, Thistle Farms provides housing, case management, healthcare, counseling, education, and employment for two years – free of charge. Its three social enterprises – Body & Home, The Café, and Global Shared Trade – provide both gateway and permanent jobs for survivors, as well as revenue for its mission. In addition, its survivor-led network houses over 500 women in healing sanctuaries across the country, and its education team leads conferences to train and inspire, creating a catalyst for change.

This is the fifth year that Nature Nate’s has leveraged its corporate giving program, Honey Gives Hope, to support women, mothers and children in honor of Mother’s Day. In Spring 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nature Nate’s contributed to Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support and offered a donation match for the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s COVID-19 relief fund that supported breast cancer patients during the pandemic.

Through Honey Gives Hope, Nature Nate’s supports families and individuals and helps communities across the U.S. and beyond through long-standing partnerships and demands-based response initiatives.
