Nate’s Continues Our Support of Breakthrough T1D
Many people in the Type 1 diabetes community keep Nate’s honey minis on hand to treat low blood sugar. We’re proud to offer an all-natural food that is easy to carry, fast to consume and raises blood sugars quickly. As we have learned more about the Type 1 community and their needs, we’ve become more involved with Breakthrough T1D, formerly known as Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
As part of Nate’s Honey Gives Hope program, we’re honored to be a sponsor of the Dallas Breakthrough T1D Walk and the Ann Arbor Breakthrough T1D Walk this fall. The Breakthrough T1D Walk events help to drive research, advocacy and support, improve lives, and fund cures research for Type 1 diabetes. As a sponsor, Nate’s also contributes our honey minis at the Low Blood Sugar Stations to aid in the wellness and support of participants.
Nate’s also provided our honey minis to three local Breakthrough T1D chapters to help families during the busy back-to-school season. More than 15,000 Nate’s honey minis were donated to the Greater New England chapter, the North Texas and Oklahoma chapter and the Michigan & Northern Ohio chapter.
This is the second consecutive year Nate’s has supported local Breakthrough T1D chapters, their walks and fundraising, and we look forward to partnering more with this organization in years to come.
