Baked Honey Pears
A simple, delightful dessert. Perfect for when you're craving something sweet, but trying to steer clear of pastries and focusing more on whole foods.

Ingredients
- 3 pears
- ¾ cup Nate’s 100% Pure Honey, divided
- ¼ tsp sea salt
- ¼ tsp cardamom or nutmeg
- ¼ cup chopped pistachios, pecans or sliced almonds
- 1 pint fresh whipped cream or vanilla bean ice cream (optional)
Directions
Heat oven to 425ºF. Slice pears in half, scoop out the center seeds. Arrange face up on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle with half the honey. Bake for 15 minutes.
Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt, cardamom and nuts. Drizzle with remaining honey. Return to oven to 5-10 minutes more, until the edges of the pears begin to turn light golden brown.
If desired, serve with a dollop of whipped cream or scoop of ice cream and drizzle with more honey.
